The Gentleman's Game.


Fixing probes, scams, match fixers and what not. So many diseases that have devastated the functioning of the game.
A game that’d once bring pride and honor to our country, now comes as a disgrace.
Cricket, which became famous throughout our country thanks to our colonial background, is being disturbed by incidents that we could never even think of.
Once considered the game of the upper class, cricket gained recognition in our country, when the British Nobles started playing the game in India. It was said, that playing cricket made you superior to people of all masses. Soon enough, the British departed from India, and left back this exciting game for the people. India gained wide popularity around the globe thanks to its talented cricketers.
But now, we’re being infamously touted as the ‘ match-fixing nation’ again, because of our players.
Even though it is called the Gentleman’s game, it would be an inappropriate title for the game as of now.
Marred by controversies and fixing scams, that day isn’t far when our country will lose its place in the Cricket market.
Every morning we read newspaper headlines, watch news channels on television... And all we see is, ‘’ another player caught under the fixing scam.’’ Such a shame for our country.
But set aside the controversies, our cricket frenzy population has always supported the game and will continue to, come what may.
We might never be able to replicate the glorious past of the game, but if not that, we could at least try to stop the ongoing corruption in the game.

Perfect, yet imperfect: The Indian Education System.

With each passing year, the number of students appearing for class X or class XII exams is constantly increasing. And though many come out with flying colors, there is very little that they actually know about their subjects.
