Under the Veil.

As she looks at the world from under her veil,
Hiding those scars left to heal.
She clears the mist in her mind,
As it wanders around memories entwined.
Yet her heart remains frozen,
For the one she had once chosen.
She looks at the sky,
Far and stretched,
As it brings back memories,
Cruel and wretched.
She feels the grass,
Fresh and soft,
Which once made her feelings aloft.
She now stands, where she was never meant to,
She now lives, how she was never destined to.
Destiny and fate, they say.
Make one’s life escalate and sway.
She waits for a chance, with ardor and zeal,
As she looks at the world from under her  veil.
