The Letter.

Dear Sehr , I will be long gone by the time you read this. I’m not even sure whether you’ll ever read this letter. I’m sorry, extremely sorry, for I had to leave you and go away, forever. But I had no other choice. Had I stayed, your father would have made me see hell. I’m sorry, for I had to leave you alone in your journey. But remember, my child, I love you. No matter what. I’m sorry to have deprived you of the love that every child deserves, of the support that every child wants, and of the guidance that every child needs. If you ever happen to read this letter, remember, that I’m still with you, and you’re not alone. Let me tell you one thing, Sehr . Life is not a bed of roses. You have to make tough choices, at every step. You have to let go of things you love. I’ve always made the wrong choices, all my life, this one too, seems equally wrong. I hope I won’t be regretting it. I love you. PS-> I shall be waiting...

The Longing.

A ragged doll in hand, she sat there in a corner, among others of her age, and some, much younger. She saw hundreds of people rushing about the station every day. Some to work, some back from work, and some, for leisure. She had always wondered how it would be to exchange her life with someone else for a day. She saw other little girls, well fed and dressed, and imagined herself the same way. She saw young mothers carrying their children around hurriedly, and wondered if her mother would have done the same. She asked herself the same question every day, “What have I done, and who am I to blame?”

The Incomplete Soul.

He waited for his thoughts to settle, as he sat down to write an article for his newspaper daily. It was well past midnight, and also his ‘writing time.’ Solitude was his best friend, and loneliness, his estranged companion. He allowed his thoughts to wander away, despite knowing what their destination would be. They always settled on the same person, no matter how much he tried to mislead them. ______________________________________________________________________________ It had been 3 years since that fateful day.  “I’m nervous, Neil. What if your family doesn’t like me?” “You’re to get married to me, not my family. This meeting is just a formality.” He replied calmly. “Could you just try to divert my mind instead of offering me your expert advice?” “Well, okay. They’re going to like you, alright? I’m sure.” “But..” she was interrupted by him even before she could complete her sentence. “We’ve reached. Come on now!” he said excitedly. He opened the car door ...

Under the Veil.

As she looks at the world from under her veil, Hiding those scars left to heal. She clears the mist in her mind, As it wanders around memories entwined. Yet her heart remains frozen, For the one she had once chosen. She looks at the sky, Far and stretched, As it brings back memories, Cruel and wretched. She feels the grass, Fresh and soft, Which once made her feelings aloft. She now stands, where she was never meant to, She now lives, how she was never destined to. Destiny and fate, they say. Make one’s life escalate and sway. She waits for a chance, with ardor and zeal, As she looks at the world from under her  veil.

Let your scars heal.

We all suffer. In one way or other. Emotional, physical, or sometimes both. There is a reason behind why people become what they are. Probably, they were never always that way. Probably, their sufferings made them what they are. Probably, they decided to change. For their own good. We all face major blows in life. Loss of family, a friend, or maybe things more worse. Perhaps that is why we’re all different. We all face the same things in life. But the only difference being that it’s not always at the same time. We all experience the same pain; we all go through the same suffering. But its just that some are exceptionally good at hiding it, and some prefer to be seen at their vulnerable worst. It’s amazing how some people hide all their suffering with such simplicity. But then, whatever mask you put on, it hides the real you, doesn’t it? Pain isn’t always meant to be hidden. It intends to change you. To transform you into something different, to show you a part of yourself that ...

Silence Speaks.

Silence is golden, it is said, But isn’t it something that we dread? Silence is peace, it is said, But what if it leads to tears being shed? A feeling of anticipation, but never sure, Of agony and anguish, always pure. Of never ending doubt and remorse, Of discomfort and feelings terribly hoarse. It traps you in a dark thick fog, Sometimes drearier than a smog. Like a demon, on you it creeps, Sometimes intimidating, but silence speaks.
